Varbergs station

The new Varberg Station has now been inaugurated and forms a central part of the extensive infrastructure project Varbergstunneln. The project has transformed the West Coast Line with double tracks through the city and a three-kilometre tunnel beneath the centre. The result is a modern and accessible station that increases capacity, improves reliability, and contributes to a calmer urban environment.

For the new station area, as well as the tunnel’s northern and southern entrances, we have delivered over 9,000 m² of Träullit Akustik in a natural cement grey finish. The panels act as natural sound absorbers, effectively reducing noise and high sound levels. By integrating Träullit Akustik into the building’s architecture, a more pleasant, healthy, and comfortable environment is created – for travellers, staff, and residents alike.
