Varbergs station

The new Varberg Station has now been inaugurated and forms a central part of the extensive infrastructure project Varbergstunneln. The project has transformed the West Coast Line with double tracks through the city and a three-kilometre tunnel beneath the centre. The result is a modern and accessible station that increases capacity, improves reliability, and contributes to a calmer urban environment.

For the new station area, as well as at the northern and southern tunnel portals, we have supplied over 9,000 m² of Träullit Noise Barrier panels in a painted light grey finish. Here, the panels act as natural sound absorbers, effectively reducing noise and high sound levels. By integrating Träullit Noise Barriers into the building’s architecture, a more comfortable, healthy, and pleasant environment is created — for travellers, staff, and nearby residents alike.
