Varberg Tunnel

The Varberg Tunnel Project is an extensive reconstruction of the Swedish west coast railway route, involving double tracks through Varberg and a three-kilometer-long tunnel beneath the city center. When the project is completed in the summer of 2025, more trains will be accommodated, reliability and safety will be enhanced, the urban environment will become quieter, and the city can expand.

For the new station area, as well as both the northern and southern entrances to the tunnel, Träullit has delivered over 9000 square meters of Träullit Acoustic panels in our Cement Gray color. Here, they will function as natural and organic sound absorbers, effectively trapping and reducing high noise levels stemming from the passage of trains and railway traffic. The result is a calmer, healthier, and more pleasant environment for both travelers, staff, and residents in the vicinity.
